Disclaimer: This section was initially written before key decisions by the US Supreme court in the Kiobel and Jesner cases, which have significantly limited the possibilities of extraterritorial civil litigation in US Courts. At the time of writing, the Supreme court decision in the Nestle case could further such trends. We decided to keep featuring much of the content of previous version of the guide for historic and comparative purposes, but this section will undergo a thorough review in the coming months, following the Nestle decision.
